Hang on back skimmer suggestions.

I plan on buying a marine land 56 cube. Wanting to go with minimal filtration and some rock work for a fish only setup. Im leaning towards a circulation pump and protein skimmer,what do you all suggest?

not sure on what to suggest as far as an HOB skimmer, but I do recommend staying away from the seaclones. The olders ones were not that bad, after a few mods, but the new ones, at least the impeller inside the pump are pure garbage, but even after that will still need to make a few minor mods to make it somewhat decent.

I love my Aquamaxx HOB-1. It might be a little small for that size tank but it depends on what coral you want to keep. Check out the octopus HOB skimmers as well. To be honest though, for that size tank I'd go with a sump which would give you a far greater selection of skimmers. I have a HOB skimmer because I have an AIO tank (nuvo 38).
