Maxspect Razor R420R 160 watt 16000k
I have been running one of these over a 30 gallon rectangle for a couple of months and can't seem to find the happy medium to keep all of the corals happy. I have it mounted on the light to tank bars that it came with so it is approximately 8" above the water. Does anyone have a similar set up and know what a good daytime setting is for proper par saturation? I have sps in the top half of the tank and zoas, softy, euphyllia in the lower 1/4 to the sand bed. a PAR meter would of course be the answer but I can't bring myself to spend that much money on a device I would very rarely use.

Have you had any negative impact on zoanthids or palys?

My lights are about 2' from my zoas and palys. I had the lights set at 100% for a week I have noticed a stop in growth and less extension. Do you have Zoas in your tank? How rom from the light if so?

There is a MAAST PAR meter floating around that someone donated. You might inquire to see who has it currently .

I asked Ben about it last night. Seems that it was never returned after the last person borrowed it. I wonder if any LFS rent them out.

I have mine on the stands that came with the lights. I peak blues at 80% and whites never above 50%(algae growth). Duncan is sprouting 11 heads toadstool is open all the way getting growth on star polyps and a group of palys. Green button sproutted two new heads everything else has not been in long enough to see any growth.
