    Default Hitchhiker ID please.

Hello maastards, so my wife's tank is nearing the end of her diatom bloom. I've been very excited to see tons of Copepods in her aquarium but tonight I saw these little guys and I wanted to see if you guys have ever seen this and what it is. There are about 5x the length of a copepod but they are like slugs. You can see the Copepods in the pic.

If they are flatworms will they eventually die off? There is nothing living in the aquarium just sand and rock.

I've always had them show up when I'm cycling a new tank. If you keep your nutrients in check as you bring the tank online, they will just kinda fade away. If they are bugging you, use some flatworm exit and kick them out now.

I think I'm just going to watch how it goes. It's going to be over 2 more months before I put anything living into the tank. Thank you for the replys!

Do they move quickly? When you clean your glass do they scramble out of your way along with the copapods?

If so, I have these in most of my frag tanks over the years, mandarins love them... Well, I don't know if they love them, but they eat the heck out of them.

Yea they try to scramble lol. I believe it is a swarmer according to the hitchhicker guide. No threat really.
