My makeshift frag station

I told my husband I wanted to do some fragging; so he made me a station:

And, yes it is the bathroom.

My question is this? I am going to put macro algae in the sump with pods and breed pods for my main tank. How long should the light run on the sump?

We will eventually replace all this with acrylic and a more stable work area; but for now we are trying this out?

This area will eventually hold a 6 ft tank in our bedroom area and we have talked about taking out the bidet and using that for the waste.
