No media right now. Was thinking of going with Innovative Marine's Minimax all in one media reactor. Can someone explain to me the difference between gfo, carbon, and bio pellets?

Gfo removes phosphates

Bio pellets remove nitrates (needs to haw a skimmer to run this)

Carbon takes out toxins chlorine and polishes water

Great Aquarium

If you are good about water changes you can eliminate having to have several different medias. I do weekly water changes and my live stock does great. At this point I am actually only running a reactor with BRS carbon. No GFO or Bio Pellets. With that said each of us have their own success with the methods we choose.

my thoughts and experiences.... Emily has a 27g cube with a cpr hang on back fuge, radion and a mp-10. she runs brightwells lil cube media just tossed in intake area. she uses the xport-bio, xport-no3, xport-po4 and they work well for her tank. there is also cheato in the fuge but no skimmer on her system
