We are in Port A most weekends - our boat is our weekend home and we are in the Port Aransas City Marina.

The South Jetty is easy to find. Low tide and small wave height is important. There are times when the rocks are very dangerous, especially at night. Check the forecast at www.passageweather.com. The wave heights are in METERS. Just so you know. Anything above 4 feet won't make for a pleasant evening.

For daylight excursions, you can catch the "Jetty Boat" that goes to the North Jetty. It's $11 each, round trip. Be aware, the last boat back is at 6pm. It can make for a LONG, cold night... But, the beach is nearly deserted. Also, with a typical southeast wind and swell, it will be much more protected than the South Jetty.

Just a thought, folks. Might contact the captain that runs the Jetty Boat, and see if he'd do a trip for the club, at night.
