Led light wattage

What is a good wattage for a 90g. I'm looking at the Aquatic Life 48" light but it come in 72 watts and 48 watts. I know more wattage is a brighter light but I don't want to get coral and end up burning them or not having enough light at the bottom of my tank.

Those are pretty low power LEDs and it doesn't look like they are dimmable. I'd definitely get something that has a little more punch and the ability to adjust.

There are three main determinations for how much "power" an led will put out (avoiding lumens as that's a measure of how we perceive the light and even avoiding par as it includes everything between 400nm and 700nm even though a good chunk of the green spectrum is never used for photosynthesis), and they are: wattage of the led, the amperage the led is being driven at, and the optics used. All the documentation I've read lists decent optics, weak wattage, and no info. on what its being driven at... That being said, after looking at their charts I'd shy away from them if you want a heavy sps tank, but it should work fine for most softies and certain lps's.

Any one heard of a LED company called reef breeders?

I've looked at them and found generally good reviews online about them, but went a different route. My concern would be that they don't specify the ratio of bridgelux to cree LEDs used as bridgelux generally are not as efficient as cree. To a lesser extent, i'm concerned that they have reds on the main channel with no cyan/indigo. Red + blue is a purple light but when cyan/indigo is added we perceive it as a white light. However, you won't know if that'll be an issue until you see the light powered on...

Not sure how you feel about pendent LED's. Some people like them others don't but I like them because they make it ease to get in and out of my tank. But regardless I have 2 kessils A350W and they are 93 watt. My corals love them. Another think to consider is I just had one burn out after 11 months and the customer service was amazing. They send you the replacement first and also pay for shipping. And they have a 2 year warranty. I've heard of AI's burning out and people fighting with their customer service. And they only have a year warranty. If I'm gonna pay $400 on an LED I like the idea of having good customer support. Here's what they look like over my tank. Oh and the new models A360W are controllable like the AI's.

I have 2 Tao tronic LED fixtures on my 90 gal I like them they have 90 degree optics also and I have a mixed reef sps LPS and softies everything is doing great under them

The 350's go for $400 and the 360's are $450. I Forgot to add that they are dimmable and when I first put mine up I was replacing a 6 bulb ATI T5. I underestimated how powerful the kessil's were and burnt the top off a flowerpot corral. That was at 60% power and placed 10 inches above the tank. It took 6 months before I was able to increase to 100%. My clams love it.
