Future Moderation on MAAST

They say hindsight is 20/20. Well this is a marker for everyone to look back on. From now on I and the rest of the Moderation Team will be holding each member new and old accountable for their actions and for their conduct on MAAST when in clear violation of section 6(a). I for one am not ecstatic to hear about Members refraining from posting because of a hostile environment and wishing to rather not deal with the drama. As a Moderator it is my position to make sure that the peace is kept and Members can post freely without fear of aggression, especially in a group like mentality. There are reasonable disagreements and opposites of opinion. That is fine. But you will conduct yourself in a professional manner and behave as though this is a Family orientated site, because it is.

For those that see this as an overstepping of bounds or “over moderation”, you may want to reread the Terms of Use that you agreed to when joining the site. From now on if a thread gets out of line or way off topic, a MOD will post to try and redirect the topic and/or a MOD will lock it immediately and then appropriate actions will be discussed between the MOD team and even the BODS if need be. IF any warnings need to be issued, they will happen at this time. This is not a threat by any means. This is to help members feel more comfortable in posting and to let everyone know in a sweeping effort that respect and proper conduct are going to be key elements on this site. This is a hobby for people to enjoy and share thoughts and experience freely and without attack by aggressors. I wish to promote the open discussion of opinions but in an appropriate manner and conducive of a friendly open environment.

For those of you that think we are over moderating, please be aware that we've had many more complaints about the arguing and name calling lately than we ever have about over moderating.
