Default Which LFS do you trust to test your water??

    Hello,

I'd like to get a comprehensive water test done (PH, Nitrate, Phosphate, Mg, Alk, Calcium, etc..) and would like to know who's the best in town for doing such a thing?

My brother lives in the Dallas area and down the street from him there is a place that for around $6 they will test just about everything you can think of. They store his data and over the coarse of time you're not only given your current results, but your entire history is graphed. Man it would be cool if some place in San Antonio did such a thing!

Oh and has anyone seen these new kiosk water labs that will be available some time this summer? If they're as accurate as they say, it'd be kind neat see one in the area. I'm sure the kicker is the price tag though! http://reefbuilders.com/2013/02/20/thrive-water-lab/

I talked to Steven at Polly's some time ago about the Thrive kiosk. He said they've inquired about it and are on a waiting list. That would be amazing though. Take your water in, put it in a machine, get accurate results and have it push the results to the web.

I was reading not long ago about a German company that you mail your water to over the course of a few months and they send you a "recipe" to dose your tank with. I thought it was a neat idea and I think it's what Thrive is trying to do.
