Question live dead rock and macro dry rock - cure?

I took my tank down 2 yrs ago and kept all the rock. I did not rinse it out instead, I let it dry out and then put it away. Recently, I purchase macro dry rock.

How would I go about curing the old rock and the new one?
Dump it all together in trash bin with saltwater, light and heater?
    or
Keep separate and cure only old rock?,
    or
    Keep separate and cure both?

The last time I started a tank, I cured live rock in tank with sand - Not a good idea
    Thanks,

Rinse the old rock off first. Put it all in a couple of tubs and keep the saltwater circulating. Put a little bacteria in for good measure.

I would also do a couple water changes just prior to putting the rock in the new tank.

I just did the same thing. Took my tank down about two years ago. However for a few months I was good about using old water in my small tank for the water my rocks were in. I had them in a garbage can with a pump for water movement and a heater to keep the temp right. Then we moved again and I just left them in the saltwater with no pump or heat. I just took three rocks out the other day to put in my 29g since I can't find a used 90 corner RR anywhere close. They were super white but just put them right in. I only have one clown fish and a few corals. Nothing has changed on my tank since putting them in. I need to test the water to see if there was any spike in the levels.

    Thanks!
I'll put them in a garbage can (rinse)- saltwater, circulation pump, and heater- and check water parameters.
