    Default Acans and LED's

I picked up my second vega unit and am currently running a led/vho combo on my 120. So far no problems except for the two acans I have. They're both in the middle on the substrate. The Vegas are about six inches from the water surface. I was originally running 250w halides. Peaks led percentages are 95% for the blues, 90% for whites, and 70% for red/green.

The acans are starting to recede near the edges and have been retracted for the past week or so. Anyone else have problems when they switched from halides to led?

Maybe they just need to acclimate to the LEDs?

I almost cooked some lps when I went to led from t5 and even when I upgraded from the Sols to Vegas. I can tell you that you are running a lot higher levels on your settings than I am Cory. I run whites around 60, all blues around 75-80, reds are at 50 and greens are at 20. Mike (Texreefer) has a nice look to his tank. I somewhat copied his settings since he is running a 60 cube and one vega. My tank is the same footprint as yours.

Also I have my lights higher up than that too.

Ya I lost a nice colony but neighboring acans did well.... Kinda weird.

Mine are about half down in the tank with my units about 10awl and are nice and fluffy..

Mine don't look bad, but they do seem to like it extra low in the tank.

The acans and my green/purple mushrooms are the only things having a hard time adjusting. I keep forgetting that led light is different than halides. I'll dial them down a bit and raise the light rack a few inches.

ive had no problems at all with the new leds on the 150 with all my corals. emily has some nice acans undr the radion which is at 70% and her acans are great. mayeb your tank is too "clean". emily has her light at 70% acans at the bottom, i also have most my lps on the bottom in my 150.
