If I recall correctly, the 75 GPD is the best fit for most people, because the larger production units require more pressure so you typically need a booster pump for them.

buckeye has a new one thats a lil more money puts out 88-90gpd at 65psi and higher rejection rate and uses the 75gpd flow ristrictor they are bench tested and certified $50 each

Rrasco is right BRS resin doesn't seem to last as long as BFS... But if you go by color like I was, you will be going through it bi weekly, lol I was.... Until i bought all my tds meters... But it still doesn't seem to hold up much longer... I stick with brs cause it can be bought locally.. I always say I'm going to buy a batch from BFS but never get around to do so...

as a matter of fact I have a set of BRS filters I need to install.... It's always good to keep one set on hand..

I love this question. How many tanks are in your future? 1st answer that. lol I know from experience you need 150gpd at least.Get water when ya need it. Dont sit there and wait.

Chris I plan to replace my membrane with the new high rejection units. Tony I tried the BRS one time b/c I was ordering from them already and didn't want to place a single order for resin from BFS. I still have that resin in there, but it's pretty much dead, still at 0 though so I'm not switching it quite yet. Next time I'll just stock up, I always try to keep at least one cartridge refill on hand...except right now when I don't have any.

    Anyone recharge their resin?

Also plan where your putting your unit at.... Somewhere you can easily work on it, where it won't really matter if you have a little spillage and climate controlled would be nice..... Mine is in a hot *** garage... But it works, oh well..

I had my waste water line going into the laundry drain but now having running out the other side of the wall into 2 44 gallon brutes for watering my plants or grass... It builds up fast and why waste all that good water, especially during this drought..

You need to make sure there is enough pressure to make that much water. Just buying the higher GPD unit doesn't guarantee higher GPD. GPD is a product of temperature and pressure.

Or you could have a reservoir so when you need it, it's on tap.. I have a 20 gallon RO and a 20 gallon saltwater reservoir on hand at all times...... Plus the 10 gallons in my ATO reservoir and 2 5 gallon jugs filled with RO... So I have about 40 gallons of RO n 20 of salt.

75gpd or the new one from buckeye is the best the higher volume per day membranes loose rejection rate and thus waste more di resin. get a good air tight storage container and make big batches it better for your filter run long batches instead of short runs. i have a 55g barrel that only gets to half way before i top it off.

shane if your psi into the membrane is 65psi+ then running a dual 75 would better than one 150gpd

Heres a blue pic in climate controlled closet. My drain goes to a loquat tree, which is gettin BIG. The bigger the ro/di system is a wise investment.
also get one you can flush your membrane. Those are expensive.
