    Default cloudy water???

I got a Innovative marine nuvo 16 gallon tank and its been running for 12 days now. My problem is cloudy water. I got the tank used so I kept the live sand and hallf of the water. I took out about 2 gallons for a water change about two days ago. Any ideas on why my tank is still cloudy?

    What are your parameters?

Inside the tank, what are you using for flow? In the sump, are you using any kind of filter media to filter the water column?

What color is the cloud? Sounds like a bloom of some sort.

12 days sounds like a diatom bloom. Is it heavy brown powdered algae? If it is it is fine and will pass soon.

Im using the stock pump,100% polyester for filter media in the chambers,no color to the cloudiness, just real hazy with a film on the glass and acrylic back wall on the tank.

Could be stirred up fine sand if the pump flow is set too high

just a bio bloom more than likely as your take settles in and biological filter kicks in it will clear up. by bio filter i mean your rocks and sand and all surfaces inside tank, you could run some small bag of chemipure or chemipure elite to help
