Back in the Mix
Hi All,
Its been quite a while since Ive had a tank set up and decided it finally time so I had to stop in and refresh my knowledge a bit. After driving OTR for a while I finally settled down in Live Oak, got married, and now its time for a new tank. I am very happy to see MAAST still going strong. I just wish all of my posts were still accessable tho since I cant remember the people that bought all my stuff from my old 55gal and 35gal tall.
The wife and I are still in an apartment we decided to stay small for now so Im setting up an old 10 gallon as a fowlr. So far all I have done is add 30 pounds of aragonite sand, and hopefully will be getting the rest of scutterborns rock to begin seeding the sand. I want to take this really slow since we are in the process of looking to buy a house in either Live Oak, Converse or Universal City. As for live stock, Im leaning towards 2, maybe 3 Blue-Green Chromis to keep it simple. Gonna order some Garf grunge and clean up crew in the next few days. This whole thing is gonna take at least 4 or 5 months before I am ready for fish so really no rush for me. I wanna make sure everything is stable and I figure that with cured live rock and the grunge, I wont have to wait any longer than that for a stable environment. If there are going to be any corals it will only be xenia. I just dont want a money pit until we have found our home. Then I will get out my 300gal rubbermaid tub and 110gal cube from storage and go crazy.
Anyways, Im impressed with some of the changes to the forum, such as the photography forum, ect. And I hope you all have a great Easter weekend!
