T-5 Aquatic life 30" 4 x 24 watt fixture

I picked up Adam's T-5 fixture, I do not know much about bulbs for T5's yet. I just started to look around on the net to see what's out there. What are some of your suggestions for good coral growth that is easy on the eyes. I'm not looking for a lot of blue, just enough to dim the whites and make the coral "pop". What's in there now is one Aquablue Special, two Blue plus and one stock 6500K bulb.

Take out the 65k... It's a GE which isn't stock but good for growth... But is very white.

you can run 3 blue plus and the one aqua blue special... That will be as blue as it will get with good growth.

Louis at ER has all the ATi bulbs at a very reasonable price..


you could also run the 3 blue plus and 1 purple plus if you want some red in the tank..

Sorry misread your post, thought you wanted lots of blue....

3 blue plus/1 coral plus

2 blue plus/1 aqua blue/1 coral plus..


my advice buy all the the bulbs and mix till you find the combo you like.

Thank you for the info. I'll look into your suggestions. I have had my little 29g for a while but I was holding out for a used 92 corner RR. I haven't found one.... yet. However my wife would like for me to just keep the small one. So for now that's what I will do and I'm going to start adding stuff to this one. Right now I have trumpets and a few shrooms and a perc clown. I do not plan on keeping anything more than softies and LPS in there. Is ER Elegant Reefs on Nakoma?

I need to change my sig line as I got rid of the 72 a while ago....
