    Default Swim through aquarium

Awhile back I mentioned a swimming tank with sharks and fish at sea world in california that I went to while in the 6th grade.

I got in touch with one of my classmates and she told me it was marineland of the Pacific. It opened in 1954, and unfortunately closed in 1987 about the same time I started growing my mullet. I wonder if they are linked somehow? ;)

two links below and an excerpt of the wiki link that speaks to the actual tank I referenced:

"It was also noteworthy for its Baja Reef concept, a first-of-its-kind swim-through aquarium featuring a wide array of sea life. Visitors could enter the winding aquarium wearing a swim mask and snorkel and swim with the fishes and sharks."

That is cool. Wish they had something like that around still.

They turned the place into a beachfront resort? That's kind of sad. Sounded like a cool place.
