This is a stand for a 90 gal tank with a 40 gal. breeder underneath. Me and my wife built this in anticipation for our new rapid leds to come. Mainly we used 2x6 and a few 2x4. any recomendations or criticism is welcome. It hasn't been skinned or stained yet. Its just the skeleton so far.

Wow. Awesome job. That thing does look pretty stout. Could definitely hold some weight.

were a bit pessimistic. my concern right now is the tank being level. after we skin it with that being said is it fine to shim it?

A lot of people are using foam sheets between the tanks and stand so that it self levels pretty much. Minimal shimming should be required if any at all. Just my two cents. There are people with way more experience than I.

IMAG1137.jpgPhotoGrid_1362370726574.jpgnow were pending doors, and some finishing molding. the lights inside are just accent/see what your doing lights, not functional as a fuge light. well I don't think it could be anyway.

Nicely done! Over built just the way I like it! I did mine with 2x4s and it's solid. Be careful when skinning it because I had everything level then skinned it and now it's a little uneven. I'm just going to use a few shims to get it level or put adjustable feet on it.
