Dang. That is actually pretty sick. I see a ton of applications for that. Very cool. Thanks for posting, Chris.

im sure if it can tumble bio p's gfo would be no problem, and if flow can closed off im sure carbon would be good, you dont want carbon to tumble.

Oh ok I was told by a guy in Houston that I got my high grade carbon that's really fine that I need to make sure it tumbles. And I'm having a problem with my gfo tumbling but my pellets do so I'm not sure what's up with that I have Even tried both in the same reactor with the same pump:(. The carbon I have is so fine it blows through my reactor and the. I have to scoop it out of my sump :( down side is we paid a lot of money for the carbon so I don't wanna waist it.

i tried gfo and carbon in same reactor nothing but a headache. sandwiching the carbon between sponges helps. ive moved away from carbon in past 5-6 months, the good carbon like rox from brs works to well and takes a lot of good stuff out. i just run gfo and bio pellets. thats my tank iam not saying it would work with all tanks, but my sps like the combo. such a fine line of removing nutrients and have just enough

This is what I'm working with and I have two sponges in both ends and this stuff still sneaks through lol. This stuff was so expensive so I would hate to let it go to waist that's the only reason I'm even trying to use it

put it in a fine mesh bag or even panty hose, then get rid of sponges should keep from tumbling. may clog quickly with sponges

Thanks for all the advice I have only been doing this for a little over a year and I like trying new stuff. So from what I'm getting I should put it in a mesh then put it in my reactor?

They don't have this little reactor on their website yet. I like it.
