I've spent enough time at home depot to see some truly amazing things. People don't act right when in the presence of building materials. The one I will always remember is the fellow who romped on his truck pulling out of the parking lot showing off..............and dealt about 15 sheets of drywall out one after another, right through the intersection. Nope, no tiedown, no string, no nothing. Or the fellow that I found by following the trex brick road, for about four miles. For those not in the know, Trex is a synthetic deck material that comes in "boards". And it's slicker than greased glass when stacked on top of itself. He didn't have his goodies cinched down with a choke, and the trex was quietly departing out the back of his truck, one at a time. I've seen trails of rebar on the side of the road. Bundles of insulation (found the truck they belonged to). Base trim (no vehicle associated with it). If you can think of it, someone has thought up a way to launch it from the vehicle they are hauling it in. Sometimes the big box home improvement stores are better than tv.

I can tie stuff down fifty different ways, and I still fight with it all the way to the jobsite. It amazes me what people get away with.
