    Default Ai wireless controller problem

So I received my vega unit and controller yesterday. But when I powered on the wireless controller and matched it up with the vega, I started to notice a problem. When you have the settings menu open, the cursor box keeps moving down without me touching the control buttons. When I try to set the time, or select the color intensities, the values go down without me touching the controller. It's impossible to set up the light correctly because of this.

It almost seems like the down directional button is stuck. I submitted a support email to ai, but wanted your thoughts in the meantime.

Did u try to update it?

I know out of the box it is very sensitive and I had to lower the intensity...

Thats what happens when you try and mess with technology. Hope you get it figured out.

    Default Ai wireless controller problem

As 350gt mentioned, I'd try a firmware update. You may also want to try resetting it to factory defaults and/or adjusting the key sensitivity. Here is the support manual, the instructions for resetting to the defaults and adjusting sensitivity are at the bottom:

Firmware update and change the sensitivity.

This is the area that AI let me down. Crappy instructions and having to do a firmware update. One of my modules was fine when I got it and the other was jacked up. Once I did the update then all was fine.

Yeah, having to go to the web for instructions kind of sucks. I tried the sensitivity settings and didn't have any luck.

I've been pretty busy this week so I didn't get a chance to do a firmware update until tonight. AI support got back to me as well and suggested the update and a few other items.

The update seems to have fixed the problem. It's still a little sensitive but I was able to get everything set up. Man, these lights are sweet! Appreciate the help guys!
