So.......any idea when we will see this outstanding new build? I'm sad for you, but I'm happy too.........you got a new tank.

I cannot even imagine how I would react to the realization that 300 gallons of water is trying to escape confinement. It would be a "moment", of that I am quite sure.

It flows and ebbs, right now I'm missing a clown so my feeling is starting to ebb. My cardinal looks rather smug. :-(

I'm hoping by the time I get back from work both clowns are together and happy.

No, I wish I had a picture of gloria when the tank tilted while she was holding it. I will lay it down and seal it in today.

I was thinking that the bottom lip will not fit over the top of the tank with the plumbing in place so I may want to wait until after the tank is in position before sealing that part in.

I will be starting another build thread. This one has run its course. I wish I had taken a picture of all the glass in the dumpster.

you can put the overflow in, it should be just big enough to install the bulkheads and pluming later. i would not do any plumbing tho.

Did you ever figure out what caused the tank to bust?

Near as I can pinpoint it was one of the panes on the bottom. I think it was this because I was cutting the seals with a standard screwdriver, and the suspect seam all but disintegrated as I attempted to cut through it.

Many of the seals were good... But I couldn't keep the water just in those areas.

A long story.... But the short version is the tank broke and I had to tear it down, the community came together and now two weeks later the old is gone, the new is set up and I'm loving it.
