Thread: Phosphate Reducing Equipment?

  1. #1

    Default Phosphate Reducing Equipment?

I currently use the Dual BRS reactor w GFO & Carbon... Thinking about changing to something else, don't like the way it slows to a trickle after about five days of running. Just want other member's opinions on what they use?

next reef is nice mr1 or shorty depending on what you need. I was using pm pro reactor. but lately I've been using brightwell xport-po4 and so far it's working and very easy to use. they are like lil cubes, I just tossed them in my media area in fuge.

I want to keep my dual reactor, wanna keep the carbon in second chamber. The brightwell sport-po4 are like little cubes so I guess you would get better water circulation? How do you change them out?

Done w GFO, rinsed the rest of my GFO through a mesh bag, rinsed clear, put it in my reactor and I guess tumbling released more GFO into my tank, tank cloudy....:( Will give Xport-PO4 a try....
