    Default Lights out !

    My MH light went out. Is there a way to test to figure out whether the problem is the bulb or the ballast. I think it may possibly be the ballast, but would rather not just go out and start buying a bunch of parts that may not be needed. This is a self contained MH/PC fixture (not a retrofit).

    Is your ballast hot? does it get hot when you plug it in? the bulb, you would know just like you would a regular bulb when they burn out. Any sign? How old your ballast? Bulb? sorry for all the questions, just trying to help.

    Type of bulb? Double or single ended? How many watts?

    I have double ended 150w bulbs and a led light if you need to borrow.

    Got it fixed ! pulled the end off the ballast and where the power wire plugs in there was a bad connection. gotta love these china made units. gonna have to upgrade soon..
