I had the same problem with an mp10 and my glass is 1/2 in. thick.

Yes without checking I believe it is 1/2" thick.

And it will hold but barely.... I can get it to stick together but one small bump and I will be fishing for it in the back of my tank behind the rock work.... Which I really don't care to do....
so it will work on the sides... But I already have 2 mp40s.
