    Default Hay Fever Time!

Its Mountain Cedar time, woo hoo! Hope all of you sufferers are as excited as me. This year I am giving a Natural Holistic approach and using a product called Cedar-X and another for native grasses etc. Not sure if they are helping much because the last few days with cedar being moderate I have itchy inner ear, eye and throat and my face is red. Here comes my 1st sinus infection of the season. I can barely hold back the excitement!

I also steam using apple cider vinegar and a drop of oregano oil. Boil some water in a pot pour in a little apple cider vinegar and 1-2 drops of oregano oil. Take the pot to a table drape a towel over your head and inhale the steam through your nose. Keep your mouth and eyes closed and only breath through the nose. Wow does this help. It aids in making the sinuses clear and kills bacteria.

I also use a neti pot more this time of year.

As you can see if been dealing with this for the last 6yrs here in SA and have tried a lot of things. I avoid prescriptions when I can.

This is one of my favorite times of the year here in San Antonio. Mild winters are great for being outside and not being in the Texas heat, but its a 2 headed beast accompanied by all the pollen in the air. I dream of rain coming to wash the air clean, but we know how much rain we get.

Remember to wash your linens and clothes often and Change your home filters at least every 2 weeks.

    Happy Holidays!

Well... I love modern chemistry. Flonase it is, with Zertec on occasion, with the really bad days.

Cedar used to kick my butt hard, but now it's tolerable.

I have no idea what I'm allergic to, but it's either mold or cedar. I've been very drainy the last few weeks.

Flonase works ok for me Zertec does nothing at all. Anything I have to snort like flonase makes my post nasal drip act up even more. Got to love seasonal allergies.

This time of year your most likely allergic to either Grasses/ragweeds, mold or Cedar pollen or like me all of the above. Texas Hill country is covered in Cedar and causes problems for millions of folks.

I still drink the cedar tea every year. My grandma used to make it for me all the time. No clue if it really works or not.

    Flonase rocks for me.
