    Default Star fish

So today me and the wife see our star fish with its leg stuck in the mp40. This is my wife's most favorite thing in the tank so now she's bumbed. The star fish is still alive but the leg that was stuck in the mp40 is all white. Will it be ok or will it die? If it might be ok will the white part fall off?

I think you're fine. He may loose the leg, but it shouldn't bother him any.

Maybe someone can chime in, but it looks like it will be okay. Nice looking fish though.

    The starfish will be fine.

The leg will fall off & be regrown.

Having a cleaner shrimp in the tank MIGHT speed up the "fall off" process, but not garunteed.1

I have a cleaner shrimp in there so maybe it will help. The starfish was in the same spot this morning as it was last night. Still alive so hopefully it will stay that way. Thanks for responding.

Yeah most starfish will regenerate the leg, should be ok. What type of starfish is that?

its a red Knobby Starfish. Its reef safe. I got it from the aquadome over 2 years ago. They are very hardy.
