actinic supplement?
I just got a new Phoenix 14k 150w for my tank and its not nearly as blue as I want. Im not familiar at all with LED's, I see cheap strips but I need a power supply? I'd there any cheap alternatives?
Thanks
Daniel

building your own would probably be the cheapest route...... there are a few that can help out on this site.
Any of the cheap strips out probably would not be enough.... although you did say 1 150 watt, so I take it the tank is not that big....... I would look at the ecoxotic panorama pros, or if wave point released there strips yet those might be enough.

Its like a 25-26 gallon. I'm looking for actinic supplement, not a new light. I found some 12-22" led strips, but i also need a driver.
Just looking to add more blue and pop to the tank.

Rapid and aquastyle both sell kits that will add blues to your tank. Look into maybe a 6 led dimmable kit on a 1x12'' heatsink. Shouldn't cost anything too crazy.

Last I heard Allan has stunner strips mounted to his reflector, might want to contact him for pics.
