I've always enjoyed the "great country of Texas" when ever I've had the chance to talk about it... but it's always been in jest. If folks don't like it here in the US they've got a free pass to go elsewhere. One of our freedoms that quite a few should oblige.

I think it will eventually happen. In my opinion it would be bad idea to happen at this time. Huge security risk along the border.
Might as well pack the bags as move north near Tinker AFB.

Those who want this do not realize how much it will effect them in a negative way.

The country is divided, but so are our states. The issue here is politics. How about instead of states succeeding we abolish the Republican and Democratic parties and focus on a individual vote per person for several candidates. There are other parties that are gaining in popularity. Texas can not survive on its own, it would be a place I would not want to live. Look at the votes, Central/south texas voted majority one way for our president, North Texas the other guy... My 2 cents

If you count all the Texas Hunters you just the found the Texas Militia, people just need to wake up and realize nothing is free, someone has to pay for it. For years the rich Europeans put there money in America to keep it away from there Government leaders. Now that the American government wants to be like Europe, Rich Americans and Europeans will find another country to invest there money in, when that happens we are toast. The only reason we haven't failed so far is the rest of the world has too many American dollars which would become worthless.

I don't want to "Mess with Texas". But California is listed as 8th largest... But we don't have oil. So... It might not do so well without that ha ha.

Pardon my French, but "You may all go to Hell, and I will go to Texas."

This is dumb. I'm surprised so many other states also have petitions.
