I went through something similar last Halloween. I was out-of-town dealing with a death in the family type of matters and got a phone call from my mom telling me they broke in through the back door and took my stuff out the front door. I had even left a long extension cord so that my mom could just disconnect my return pump and feed my tank. Well they stole that also and left my fishies vulnerable. I was effin ****ed. Im glad you got justice, cause its not cool getting home to a ran sacked place.
