Default Wife wants to start her own business

I see other threads started about spouses looking to start a new career and asking for advice so I figured it was mine time to ask. Some of you know and met my wife Sheila from past maast events. Wells over the summer she got her Master's in Human Resources with a certification in divorce mediation. Well after finishing her dissertation, she decided that her goal was to be a divorce mediator and open her own business. Well my question is with something like this how do you survive the leap of faith to do something like this. Emails and phone calls from her parents to past teachers haven't given her the support she's been looking for. I know there will be some rough roads ahead. She's not quitting her current job just yet, she's thinking of of going to part time status. Also does anyone know of any attorneys, lawyers, maybe judges that she can contact and ask for advice and counseling on where to get started on something like this? I just would like to see her succeed in this.

Professor Scott teaches negotiations and mediation at St. Mary's Law School and brings in practicing lawyers in those areas so he might be a good place to start. Also, if I remember right, there a national board of mediators/arbitrators who dole out professional certifications and probably could help with contacts as well.
