Not to rain on y'alls parade but, I noticed the substrate in all those coral pics is blued out. May just be the lighting or the fact that I'm jaded on these Internet pics.

This is probably a dumb question but what exactly do you mean by "blued out"? Is that a bad thing?

It means the white balance isn't corrected. It makes the corals look better in pics.

*in no way am I saying these pics are touched up or altered in any way.

I just picked up a beautiful Zola from an online purchase, plots were magnificent. Put it in my tank... They were fairy dust palies.

One detractor that I will always keep in mind when ordering online.

Meh, I can't take a picture under my lights either. I mean, if that's what they look like under actinics, that's what they should look like under all our actinics, no?

I don't believe so. Chris was telling me that they were taking pictures with a few different spectrums to pull out the colors they wanted.

Trust me, the zoa I ordered looked nothing like fairy dust palies. They did make good on it though.

Even the Zoas I got from the mrcoral group buy look very blah. They looked awesome on the website though. Maybe it's just my defective eyes.

For $20, I think I'm willing to chance it. God knows I've killed more expensive corals than that.
