The issue I'm having is that the door sits about 2" above the concrete slab patio so the the front part of the sash does not sit on anything and kind of just hangs there. The inside part of the sash can easily be sealed with caulk, but its the front part I'm worried about. If the sub sill plate will help ill try it. Here's a picture that might make it clearer I hope.
