Default need help with running APEX through a gaming adapter???? computer geek question

i been running apex through this cheap netgear gaming adapter that i bought last year.....pretty much what this netgear do connects the apex wireless to my modem which sits on the second floor and theres no way i can connect my modem directly to the apex unless i install another telephone jack next to my tank......
this netgear runs gud for couple weeks and than i always i to reset it for some reason.....sometimes unplugging it works and some times i have hard reset it through my computer.....my ips dont change since i hve sticky address so thats no issue....what other wireless adapters r in the market that wouldnt needed to be reset like this quite often..
    thanks

So these "game apdapters" are technically called "bridges", becuase they bridge 2 network medias. I have a cheapo netgear "game adapter" as well. How much do you want to spend:

I usually have good luck with linksys. Cisco devices are also good. Linksys is Ciscos Consumer/SOHO solution. So Linksys=Cisco.

I have 3 trendnet "wireless range extenders" aka "wireless repeaters" and they suck.
