Default Best LFS to buy salt?

Who has the best price on Reef Crystals? Last place I got mine from was about $70, which I thought was a little steep... any suggestions? Feel free to PM me if it's bad manors to post in this thread!

If you pay that much for a bucket just get the new salinity salt.

I prefer not to pay that much for a bucket... which was the reason for asking ;)

The retail world has changed, people know what a fair price is now. Marking something up then putting it on "sale" doesn't fool anyone. You shouldn't have to ask for a fair price - it should already be a fair price, if the store wants your business.

With that said - I shop almost entirely at Elegant, and have since the place opened. Even with the other store's discounts and sales, his prices were still better, and the tanks cleaner.

Haven't been to Elegant in a while. I'll have to stop by this week and check it out again. Thanks for all the responses everyone!

We talking buckets or boxes? I know the boxes (200g) IO at ER is just over $40 and the RC is just over $60. I want to say $43 and $63, respectively. Those prices are comparative to online, especially if you can't work out free shipping.

And on that note, I just looked and DFS has boxes for $40 and $48 with $6 shipping, but...there was some speculation about the RC (on RC too actually) coming from DFS, but I believe that was just the buckets and the lot had been cleared as far as quality, but who knows. Better safe than sorry with our tanks I say.
