On a serious note, this has been happening too often. It doesn't usually stay down all week, but I've noticed that 2-3x during the week the site will be down for extended periods of time.

First time I've seen it down all day, normally its an hour or two, which just made me keep trying to see if it was up all day.

cartama.net (the hosting company) had four servers that were down all day yesterday. i wonder if it has anything to do with the godaddy.com issue? i agree tho, before that, i have seen lots of slowing down recently.

Godaddy.com problems hit us at work. We had issues with our Internet Phones and Emails all day Tuesday.

I don't think it had anything to do with godaddy.

DNS records are propagated across the internet and point you to the correct nameservers where you can reach the hosted site. Since these records point to cartama servers, godaddy couldn't have affected anything. The HTTP request queries the nameserver where to go and then requests the site from the web server. DNS lookup doesn't occur on godaddy's server, it's whatever DNS server you are using, more than likely, your ISP's. Since the cartama servers were down, they obviously couldn't serve that request.
