So, after waiting anxiously for a week for my lights to get here they finally arrived.

My wife decided to be an asshat and text me pictures of them all day to tease me whats worse it ended up being a 15 hour day.

Anyways, the lights look better in person than they do on the net. So bright if you look directly at them anything above 50 % power you have sun spots for 5 minutes.

The bad news, I bought the " Package " deal that included the stand. The stand feels very solid and I wouldn't hesitate to use it, the only plastic peices are what actually hold the light modual to the rail, and the feet. The bad part is I wasn't able to choose which mounting options I wanted so I ended up with the A & E packages for a tank mount.

The " Feet " for lack of a better term wont fit over the rim of my 75 gallon tank, I bet it would work fantastic if I had a rimless tank but alas, I don't. This is the "A" package. The "E" Package is pretty sweet, I like the organic feel of the curved aluminum rails and it seems rock solid, the bad news is with the "E" system and the two peices of 7 inch rail that comes with the lights it falls about 7 inches short of being able to span the length of the 48 " aquarium.

No idea how I am going to handle this, I am not going to trim the rim to make the feet work, I am waiting for a response back from coralvue, who will probably tell me to contact marine depot. But if I have my way I will mail the "A" system back and exchange it for a "B" system.

Until i get to talk to someone I wont know anything, as it stands I expect a 2 week delay on the inside before I can acually use my lights.

Overall I am satisfied with the lights despite only being able to play with them on the coffee table.

They need to take their "A" mounting system and scrap it, its completly worthless.

I need to buy 1, 7 inch section to complete the span, thats going to cost probably 20 bucks, and if I can't swap the "A" for the "B" and just pay the difference I will be out another 60 bucks for the "B" system.

Good to get some feedback to this. I've heard pretty bad things about the mounting system.

Maybe so. I don't get out that way nearly often enough even though I have family out that way. Was supposed to go this weekend actually, just didn't make it.
