Thread: AIO FILTRATION?

  1. #1

    Default AIO FILTRATION?

I recently got a new nano that is an AIO. It has 3chambers, and when I got it, it had a filter sponge and a skimmer chamber and a return chamber. I'm weary of the skimmer, but the owner of precision marine made the tank into an AIO and put the skimmer in. But I'm not sure if I should just use the same set up or do a fuge some how?
    I'm unfamiliar with modding AIO's.
the tank will ne a sps/clam tank. I'm using 2 jbj nanos with the control. But was wondering what size return I should use. Its about 25g.
    here r some pics.

    Any help is appreciated!

    thanks!
Here is my build thread, http://www.maast.org/showthread.php?...ng-g-up-a-nano

How do I set it up as a fuge? Do i put a fuge where its overflows, skimmer in skimmer chamber, and just a return?

Also on the skimmer me made the baffles r set up different. I'm going yo get an air pump and see if this skimmer will do anything.

Hmm... if it were me I'd build a small shelf in the cabnet for a Walmart 1.5 gallon acrylic tank then drop a micro-powerhead in the overflow chamber to feed it and pipe the overflow from the fuge to the return chamber behind the tank. Chunk a bunch of LRR and some pods in the fuge and you should be good to go.

    Kinda like this

Thats why I got a AIO. So it would be a AIO. I want nothing outside the tank.

Fair enough. How much flow? I'd be concerned with just flushing everything out at once if it's inline.
