Thread: Rinse or replace?

    Default Rinse or replace?

Anyone have thoughts on using filter floss as prefilter for trickle/bio ball chamber into sump (oceanic)? Do you rinse periodically, like 1 to 2 x a week or do you replace it?

We used filter floss exactly that way on a previous tank. It worked well for us, we just replaced it around once a month to my recollection.

I always rinsed and replaced a few times, before throwing away. Cheapskate in me!
