Default Lets Make Your Aquarium Thrive

Introducing the latest marine aquarium product line at our shops... Thrive. Thrive Aquatics is run by the same company that makes a product many of you are familiar with already Coral Rx. I have gotten the chance to use a few of their products recently and was really impressed.

    What makes Thrive different?

Well the first thing that you will notice is the slick new packaging that the products come in. These additives come in 600ml reusable aluminum bottles. This eco-friendly company designed these bottles to be used over and over and as such sell refills for them. These refills come in a 600ml plastic pouch that uses 85% less plastic than what a standard 500ml aquarium supplement bottle comes in.

The second thing is that there is no "shoot from the hip" instructions on the back. As we all know elements such as calcium, magnesium, iodine etc are needed for coral growth, coloration, and health. However, in too high or too low concentrations they can cause problems and even death of your corals and or fish. So instead of something like add 5ml per 10gal thrive recommends the use of something else, their Thrive Analytics. This allows you to test your params, set your target levels and then computes how much of their supplements you need to be adding to your aquarium and at what rate to keep your tank stable.

Thrive Analytics is an entirely free online program that you can sign up for and put your aquariums information in. This information includes your target chemistry levels, tank size, demensions, equipment, live stock, even set reminders as to when you need to replace your carbon or lighting. This program allows for a free "journal" if you will of your tank. Every time you test your aquarium and input your test results it will save them to be viewed at a later date as well as to give you a thrive "prescription." You can also add when you added a fish or corals or equipment so that overtime you have a log of how your water quality and levels changed, your livestock changed, and what equipment was added or removed.

All of this helps your aquarium Thrive, so what happens when your corals grow TOO much? WELL you use the Thrive fragging supplies such as coral glue pens for hard corals, coral thread and needle for softies, frag plugs with tags, a vertical frag rack and a clam kit.

All of these products help to make it easy for you to make keeping your reef happy and healthy.

Now isn't it about time you let your reef THRIVE?

Stop by either shop to get a free water sample bottle and bring it back to get a free prescription! Or add yourself to Thriveaquatics.com and find us as your only Authorized Thrive Aquatics store in the San Antonio area.

Love their packaging... tried their glue....... Not so much. Overpriced for the amount and very watery for a gel. will have to give the rest a try
