From the chamber elbow to red pipe, and from red pipe to valve, they are pretty loose but the instructions arent clear as to wether they are supposed to be glued or not.

Also, the outlet on the valve, where is that supposed to go?

The instructions say from 6 - 10 inches of water. Anyone have experiance with this model and can tell me the optimal water depth?

Is this little black pump supposed to be submerged as well? I may very well be retarded but I can't figure how its going to pump air when its underwater.

Sorry for dumb questions but never done this before.

The air is drawn in by a tube coming up from the intake of the submerged pump... On mine anyway. Is there a port on the pump?

The red piece, unless I miss my guess, will be rotated which will control your water level in the skimmer. Too much it overflows, too little and your skim mate line will be in the neck.

They are not supposed to be glued, the outlet is where the water comes out of after being skimmed so you can point that to your liking, and yes the pump is suposed to be submerged. The air will come down the clear tubing that is connected to it. Hope that helps and feel free to shoot anymore questions.
