Ok, so here's a question. How are you guys rinsing your media prior to introduction? I was just reading the instructions, and it says to rinse in low TDS filtered water. Is everyone doing this with all of their media?

I run the pump through a bucket of RODI water till clear, but I also initially rinse before assembling my dual brs reactor. Guess as it tumbled more gfo loosened up and released into my sump. Will look in xport-po4, but if gro were more larger granular do you think this would solve some of problem???

I may be going against the grain here but I just rinse in the kitchen sink. I can't see how it would absorb that fast. Although, I'm probably wrong. I've had great success using this method. I kind of think rinsing with RODI is kind of a pain. I find the less I complicate things the better it works out for me.

I rinse with regular kitchen water as well but right before i add it to the media reactor I poor a large cup of RODI water to rinse out all of the regular water. Works great for me.
