    Default Custom Refugium

    If anyone ever has doubts about building their own sump the process isn't very hard and I'd be happy to share what worked for me. I used a 29 gallon long tank and had glass baffles cut and used aquarium silicone.

    looks good!! I was all about DIY when I got in this hobby. then I learned to just save my pennies and let someone else build it lol. I may convert a 10g into a sump to help keep cost down on next build

    Isn't half the fun building it yourself though? That's the appeal of this hobby for me anyways. Nothing against fresh water systems however that hobby never kept my attention the same way salt water does. Maybe it's the pretty colors

    the best part is making my coral grow. this is the only hobby I've stuck with over a year, it will be over 4 years and still going. It's always something diff to do from dosing to cleaning I love it all
