Replacing metal halides with LED
Does anyone know roughly how many watts of led's would be required to replace one 150w metal halide bulb?
Right now I'm looking into a 10x3w blue and 6x5w white led setup with a driver that will run them at a max current of 50% (rapid led's nano driver with potentiometer) and I'm curious if this will be enough or if I should shell out the extra money to buy drivers capable of taking them up to 100%.

I'm not certain, it kind of depends on which LEDs you choose. Also, DO NOT drive the LEDs at 100%. It will shorten their life expectancy and cause them to dim.
I'm running 72x3w over my 48x24x21 and have the blues at 60% and the whites at 50%.

Yeah, the goal isn't to run them at 100% just to raise them higher than 50%, I typed that kinda wrong haha. And the LED's are 3w (royal blue) crees and 5W crees (whites)
