    Default Water Water EVERYWHERE

Got home today, Surprize Water was everywhere, looked at the fish tank nothing is wrong with it. Went into the bathroom and the supply hose to the toilet had broken and was shooting water like a mag 5 pump, turned off the water and then went out side to shut off the main valve. Guess what the valve breaks and begins leaking, call S.A.W.S. they said they would come out Mon. I told them we would be in stage 3 water restrictions by then if they dont come out and fix it now.Got the wet vac out Thank God I have one (everyone who owns a tank should have one ) spent 5 hours vacuuming water and pulling up carpet. Tomorrow pull base boards and some drywall . Im just glad I got off work early today, another 4 hours and I probably could of been swimming in my house,SAWS came out within 45 min and fixed the valve, luckily it was on there side of the water supply and not mine. Moral of the story: If you own a fish tank buy a wet vac, you never know when you might need it.

Glad the main valve problem was on the city side. For a second, I thought the story was going the other direction for a moment.

Man that sucks Barry. Good luck, if you need a GC, I have a couple of friends that deal with insurance companies and water loss situations all the time.

well got all the carpet pulled up and cut about a 4-5 inch gap around all base boards so everything can dry out, that way no mold will start now I need to find some drywall guys to give me estimates for the insurance claim. Not the way I wanted to spend my weekend.

    That really sucks.

I had two spills when I decided to go tile.
