PAR 38 LED light bulbs

Setting up a 70g 36x18x24. I plan on running a 250w HQI 20k over the middle of the tank but think the sides may be lacking enough light. Has anyone had any experience with these PAR 38 bulbs from Exotic ???
I was thinking or running 2 of these on the sides to suppliment, and are they enough to penetrate 24'' deep.

We ran the one linked below on the 7.5g wet acrylic nano we were creating and it did great for coral. Came with a sweet remote too, used to cost $90+:

Those are pretty sweet. Can you sync them all to one remote? I'm assuming so. But just have to ask the obvious question. Cause picking up six remotes to set a color would be..... Fun...

Someone on RC ran PAR numbers on these, I have no idea what thread it was in, but they got CRAZY high numbers from that thing. IDK if there are different models or if there is only one PAR38. Pretty sure it outperformed one of the 'high-end' LED fixtures, radions or AI SOL.

Radion PAR numbers are sadly not hard to beat. Was expecting big things from that fisture. Hopefully the Vega keeps the PAR numbers up and doesn't loose any with this new fancy setup they are going with.

From what I've read the 250w HQI is good for a 2 x 2 area that leaces 6'' on each side without good coverage. I'm a little conceerned about heat with the HQI. Rob that fixture you had looks sweet but are only 1 watt leds, and the exotic PAR 38 leds are running at 4 watts which I'm sure would be really good par at sand bed .

I talked to some people at work today and I'm pretty sure PAR38 is a form factor of a bulb. Similar to a flood light bulb. I'm not sure of the specifics but we certainly don't sell exotic bulbs. We target a different industry, which is what I thought, but it never hurts to ask. Sorry.

Yeah, I'd only try the 1 watters on a shallow nano like we had going. Man, I don't see why the exotic 4 watters wouldn't work but I know nothing about LED.

I wouldn't be too concerned with the heat from one HQI on a tank that size. Just get a fan going over the sump. I've got 2 400s over my 200, and I'm currently running a 15 dollar WalMart fan over the tank for now. It's doing much better than I previously thought it would. 24" is fairly deep, but LEDs should be able to handle it, but with any LED it depends on the optics. Might be better off with the Chinese version LED on each side of the MH.

Here's the specs: With a 40 degree lense should be pretty compact spread at 24'' deep.
