How tall is the tank when on the stand? can you get close ups of the stratches?

With tank and stand 53 1/4" tall

you can not even see them with the lights off, hard to see them with the lights on but I tried to get some close ups.

When the flash is off, they are not even there as far as taking pictures..

Do they catch a fingernail? I assume they are on the outside?

There are some on the outside and the inside. Yes there are a couple that do "catch a nail"
