Thread: Too much led for fuge?

Question Too much led for fuge?

Hello I'm modifying an aqua clear hob 30 to make a rufuge in my sump cause I don't have any room and was wondering if a 10 watt led would be too much or too little light for the macro. Also it's going to be sitting on top of the lid it came with, will this dim it at all? Or too much?

do you have a pic of it or specs. only thing I worry about is how much heat it gives off.

I haven't modified a thing yet so no pics. I was waiting til I got some info but i don't think it will give off too much heat unless u mean the outside of the bulb itself.

I use a standard 6 watt led bulb and I found it gives just the right amount of light. My macro loves it and it never gets warm. I can touch it with no issues.
