    Default Two new tanks

Set up a kinda new system today. Shallow frag tanks, double stacked, with a nice size live rock tank underneath. See:

The shallow tanks are 36x18x6, the rock tank is I think a standard 40g. The return for the tanks comes in at the top tank, overflows to the next tank down, then into the rock tank. Then, it gets complicated

Let me explain. I wasn't sure if this belonged in the medium tanks, or the large tanks............because, by itself, it's only about 60g, BUT it's tied into my large frag system, consisting of a 40br, a 30g shallow acrylic frag, a 40g sump, and a 30t softy fuge. So, um, yeah, about 200g total.

The rock tank at the bottom of the two new tanks drains into the softy fuge, which then drains into one of the two return sections of my frag system. The 30g acrylic drains into the macro fuge, the 40br chalice tank drains into the second return section, the nursery (oops forgot to mention that) drains into the skimmer section. The thing is complicated, and resembles a nuclear reactor. Add in powerheads, carbon reactor, manifolds.......you get the picture. The tanks are kept cool using a chiller and sump fans (more stuff to complicate things).

When I break my systems down to remodel the room they are in, I AM going to simplify things. One way or another, dangit, LOL.

Right now, this is the definition of insanity. 8 tanks, three more waiting to be set up.
