calcium wont go up
i noticed my calcium wont go up and my alk is at 200 so im assuming its from low mag, i want to get a mag test and sup but since i was adding a good amount of calcium before i realized something was wrong will my calcium shoot up to toxic levels when i add the mag

what are you considering low, first. and how old is your tank and what kind of coral and filtration do you have

not alot at all small frog spawn small polyp not sure what it is and a tiny kenya. calcium at 380 filter is a biocube skimmer from petco as for age i just set it up a couple days ago but got established rock,good amount water and sponges with bacteria from a friend. he said it would only be a small cycle like this

tank is way to new to be dosing, 380 isn't that low, it may be your kit isn't that accurate. also if your tank is 30g or lower water changes should take care of all elements. you have nothing in your tank that will suck up cal. it could also be your salt mix giving you low cal numbers but more than likely it may be test. having two diff brand kits helps get a good idea on levels. also your tank won't cycle without something putting waste in system like a fish, so until it has livestock you won't have a cycle per-say
what is your tank volume

Oh I didnt mention my livestock fish wise I was just speaking of filter feeders I have 3 fish

Your calcium is fine. Chris is on target, your calcium consumers aren't significant enough to require dosing.
