Little update. The Van is coming along.

Pulled the old motor this weekend. Come to find out it was a 170ci and original to the van. The new 200ci I have has more power, less miles and now that I have simi rebuilt it looks awesome. Guy before me replaced the rods which is great. Right now the van is just a body with the transmission, completely gutted. I got a nice look at the Flywheel and clutch and they will both have to be replaced too. By the time im done I will have a almost brand new 1964 Ford!

I know you guys like pics so here ya go!

Stripped down and prepped for paint and new parts

Almost ready to go back in. Looking Good. Will get a new shiny valve cover and headers too.

While the vans still on Jack stands without the motor. I figured id go ahead a do the disc brake conversion. These 60s econolines never had disc brakes, drums all around with a single master cylinder. Not the best for today's roads. Several Hours and Several hundred dollars later do to a custom bracket kit to make this possible I now have front disc brakes and a dual mater cylinder. For there to be Caliper clearance I had to reposition the sway bar with a bracket as well.

I still have to install new brake lines and add a remote fluid reservoir which these vans also do not have stock, but after that Im good to go or rather good to Stop!
